Dr. Agha graduated with a PhD in Epidemiology from Brown University, with research focused on social determinants of health, obesity, and cardiovascular disease. She then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Harvard School of Public Health, with her work leading to more than 20 peer-reviewed publications. She now serves as Chief of Informatics for City of San Antonio’s Metro Health District, where she drives the mission of putting data and research into action via public health. Both her academic work and public health work focus on addressing social determinants of health and mitigating risk for chronic disease.
